Matthew 16:13-20 When Jesus came into the coasts of Caesarea Philippi, he asked his disciples, saying, Whom do men say that I the Son of man am? And they said, Some say that thou art John the Baptist: some, Elijah; and others, Jeremiah, or one of the prophets. He said unto them, But whom say ye that I am? And Simon Peter answered and said, Thou art the Christ, the Son of the living God. And Jesus answered and said unto him, Blessed art thou, Simon Bar-Jona! for flesh and blood hath not revealed it unto thee, but my Father which is in heaven. And I say also unto thee, That thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.
And I will give unto thee the keys of the kingdom of heaven:and whatsoever thou shalt bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven. Then charged he his disciples that they should tell no man that he was Jesus the Christ.
>Is acting humble being humble? It's really just disguised pride. No. Paul wrote, when I AM weak then AM I strong. Yes, the answer is simple. Jesus of Nazareth is Anointed of God with the Holy Spirit and with Power. Christ. So if we're "acting weak" that news will rile our flesh, but as we are weak, we rejoice; it makes us strong. It's the Power of God. Amen. And the Gates of Hell shall not prevail against it! Hallelu Jah Amen. We don't go out to do God's work acting, and expect to prevail; we go out being what God has made us by Christ Jesus. Amen
>Father , be it unto us as you say. Thank you for sending Jesus: as your messenger reported "For unto YOU is born this day in the city of David a savior which is Christ the Lord!" God bless the church in remembrance to keep the hope and the truth of the Gospel against all temptations to play-act humble. Rather, we humble ourselves; we submit to the Good News which is the power of God. We believe Jesus is the Christ. Thank you for making us right in truth; In Christ Amen.
It is how God has anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and with power and revealed Him to those who believe in Him: "Christ." The Anointed One. Blessed are those to whom he has revealed: It!
Jesus saith unto them, Did ye never read in the scriptures, The stone which the builders rejected, the same is become the head of the corner: this is the Lord's doing, and it is marvellous in our eyes? Therefore say I unto you, The kingdom of God shall be taken from you, and given to a nation bringing forth the fruits thereof. And whosoever shall fall on this stone shall be broken: but on whomsoever it shall fall, it will grind him to powder.
